Metabolism of Islands (MoI) is a global, community-run, and voluntary platform. You can join us in two ways.

As a member of the MoI community: Community members support the MoI initiative in a variety of ways, such as sharing your expertise as an established or emerging island scholar; support the platform with small tasks to keep the MoI active, vibrant and attractive. Tasks are mutually agreed, voluntary and can be done remotely. Meet our community >

As a data contributor: by uploading data, photos, publications, maps, and other relevant information about particular islands. Contributors do not need to have specialist knowledge or training - the system is built so that everybody can help upload data and information. Data contributors will have the option to discuss with a Metabolism of Islands team member to go over the process and answer any questions.
