Dominik Noll is a Ph.D. student and researcher at the Institute of Social Ecology, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria. His Ph.D. project is focused on the social metabolism of the Greek island of Samothraki. His research is concerned with the environmental implications of the transformation of rural, agriculturally shaped regions in the course of industrialization. Applying a stock driven approach, he specializes in the assessment of environmental pressures associated with the dynamics of the built environment and livestock systems.
