Dr. Panos Petridis is a researcher at the Institute of Social Ecology, Vienna (Austria), focusing on island studies, socio-ecological transitions, participatory research, and degrowth. Since 2010 he has been involved in the research and management of a transdisciplinary project on the Greek island of Samothraki that examines the conditions of island sustainability and supports a local transition towards more sustainable pathways.
