"Island Industrial Ecology" launched

The MoI is delighted to announce "Island Industrial Ecology", a new section of the International Society for Industrial Ecology (ISIE). ISIE promotes industrial ecology as a way of finding innovative solutions to complicated environmental problems. The purpose of “Island Industrial Ecology” (or Island-IE) is to conduct industrial ecology research on islands to generate insights that supports policies, businesses, and communities for building resilient and sustainable island systems. In addition to classic industrial ecology approaches, this Section will foster transdisciplinary research to engage stakeholders to develop strategies for more inclusive resource-use patterns on islands.
